Donkey Tales

The girls were so blessed to be invited to participate in the Kingdom Hearts Ministry Kids Camp Summer 2010..."Donkey Tales"....They sang, prayed, played, fished, swam...and most importantly they spent the entire week in fellowship putting God first. I went out on Wednesday to check on them and give them each a hug...they were busy preparing for a talent show and had just come in from swimming...they had been fishing and Chelsea had caught a fish and released it. I asked Callie if she wanted to come home with me...but of course she did not...I heard a little girl ask her why her mom was starting to cry...LOL

June 27th, 2010

So...Today Charlie and I took Chelsea to Girl Scout Camp...Camp Katchina "Boots, Buckles and Spurs"...If my mother had tried to leave me in a place like Camp Kachina, I would have fought my way back to the car kicking and screaming! The little cabins are more like wooden tents and have no electricity...NONE! It was so hot that all of the little girls were already being encouraged to fill up their water bottles....I am so worried that she might have a heat stroke this week! Chelsea was so excited to see the horses and wondering witch one she might get to ride...She also insisted that I buy her the Camp Kachina badge for her vest...From her view point, she should be able to earn three badges this week ...so that is 4 badges in one week. From my view point, I literally felt like I might throw up over the idea of leaving her in that place for an entire week with no contact...let me repeat myself...No Contact! :( Red Rover, Red Rover.... PLEASE Let Friday come over!

Cancer...

On April 23rd, Walter Harter's fight with Cancer ended...and as the days pass it is my hope that we will think less and less of this past year and CANCER and remember more and more the Walt we all knew BEFORE Cancer...Before August 2009...Click on the link below to view Walt's obituary and slide show.
